Energy participates in the first oil and gas conference in Baghdad

January 29th  - Jordan, represented by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, participated in the first conference on oil and gas and its future prospects, held in Baghdad/ Iraq , during the days 28th -27th  January.

The head of the Jordanian delegation, Director of Natural Resources Projects Directorate at the Ministry, Geologist Bahjat Al-Adwan, spoke in his opening speech at the conference about the activities carried out by the Ministry in the field of oil exploration and the accompanying studies and drilling work.

Al-Adwan discussed the most important future projects in the field of oil and gas, pointing to the measures taken by the Jordanian government in an effort to facilitate and provide an incubating environment for investment in this field in accordance with the economic modernization vision.

For his part, members of the Jordanian delegation, engineers Bassam Ababneh and Fidaa Abdel Haq, presented the investment opportunities in Al-Sarhan development area, the oil characteristics of Hamza field and the oil exploration areas in Jordan.

Participated in addition to Jordan , in the conference held by the General Union of Arab Engineers in cooperation with the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate,countries included  Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Sudan and the Sultanate of Oman.
