Minister of Energy: Fuel and LPG Stocks Are Secure and Sufficient, and the Energy System Operates Under Proactive Plans

March 3, 2026 – The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources confirmed today, Tuesday, that Jordan’s stock of petroleum derivatives of all types, as well as household liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), is available in sufficient quantities, noting that the national energy system is operating in accordance with approved operational and proactive plans.

He explained that technical and logistical alternatives are available and ready, ensuring the continued supply of natural gas and petroleum products to the Kingdom under various conditions. He emphasized that no shortages have been recorded in the local market, particularly in household LPG used for cooking purposes, fully meeting the Kingdom’s needs without any deficit.

He further indicated that the Kingdom’s energy sector facilities are operating at full capacity, alongside the availability of alternative fuels (heavy fuel oil and diesel) used in power generation plants in the event of natural gas interruptions. He stressed that the energy sector is being managed with high efficiency, supported by regular daily monitoring and full coordination with all relevant entities within an integrated institutional framework that has demonstrated its ability to effectively handle regional developments with competence and resilience.
