The Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Eng. Amani Al-Azzam, on Wednesday sponsored a lecture entitled “Renewable Energy in a New Form: The IRIS Hybrid Device Model,” aimed at introducing an innovative concept in the field of renewable energy. The lecture was delivered by engineers Ibrahim Sandouqa and Jbara Sa’sa’, as part of the Visitor of the Month program implemented by the Ministry’s Knowledge Management and Innovation Division.

During the lecture, Sa’sa’ highlighted the latest technologies that contribute to enhancing the efficiency of sustainable energy sources employed in the IRIS device. He presented the operating mechanism of the hybrid system, its key technical and operational advantages, and discussed opportunities for its application in buildings, as well as its role in supporting the transition toward clean energy use and fostering innovation in this sector.

The lecture also addressed the practical capabilities of the device and prospects for its utilization, within the broader framework of efforts to strengthen energy supply security and adopt sustainable and effective solutions.

It is worth noting that the Ministry regularly organizes a series of awareness lectures addressing various topics in the energy and mining sectors.
