Energy Ministry Highlights Its Energy Transition Efforts During Germany Training Week

April 17, 2025 – The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources participated in the activities of the Germany Training Week, held from April 14 to 17, targeting a select group of representatives from the Jordanian industrial sector, project developers, policymakers, and energy-related service providers, as part of the Jordanian-German partnership in the energy sector.

Eng. Yaqoub Marar, Director of the Energy Transition Directorate at the Ministry, delivered a detailed presentation addressing the legislative aspects of the green hydrogen sector in Jordan, highlighting the most prominent initiatives launched by the Ministry to promote and support this promising sector as a fundamental pillar of Jordan’s energy future.

Additionally, engineers Haneen Ahmad and Reem Al-Bazour from the Green Hydrogen Department at the Ministry participated in the specialized training program organized by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), which focused on the technical and economic aspects of green hydrogen production and its derivatives, as well as methods of its transportation and storage.

This participation reflects the Ministry’s continued commitment to developing technical capacities and supporting efforts toward a sustainable energy transition through the exchange of expertise with international partners and learning from the latest global experiences in the field of renewable energy, particularly green hydrogen, which is witnessing rapid global growth.
