Natural Resources Studies Directorate

 The Natural Resources Studies Directorate carry out the following tasks :

• Conducting exploratory mining, prospecting, structural, engineering studies, and investigating natural resources in the Kingdom.
• Conducting geochemical surveys of the Kingdom for the purposes of prospecting for mineral ores and industrial rocks.
• Conducting geological surveys, preparing geological maps, paleontological and petrographic studies, and studying the components of rocks and minerals.
• Carrying out exploratory drilling for mineral resources and supervising their bids.
• Participate in and supervise the evaluation and qualification of companies applying and interested in the strategic minerals and mining sector.
• Participate in preparing and drafting all types of contractual documents and commercial agreements related to exploration, evaluation, production and development of mineral resources.
• Technical supervision and follow-up of the implementation of all contractual documents and commercial agreements related to exploration, evaluation, production and development of mineral resources.
• Promoting and marketing exploratory areas available for mineral resources.
