April 20, 2024 - Under the patronage of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, the Jordanian Oil Terminals Company  (JOTC), today, Saturday, implemented the initiative to plant 300 forest plants, at the site of Amman’s strategic facilities in the Madouna area.

JOTC General Manager, Engineer Hassan Al-Hayari, confirmed during his speech that the initiative that the company is implementing in cooperation with its partners in the sector coincides with the Kingdom’s celebrations of the national events of the Silver Jubilee, National Flag Day, and Arbor Day.

Al-Hiyari added that the initiative aims to preserve the green agricultural area in the Kingdom and achieve environmental balance within the sustainable national plan for afforestation and raise the percentage of vegetation cover in the Kingdom.

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Eng. Amani Al-Azzam, the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Energy and Minerals Regulatory Commission, Eng. Ziad Al-Saaida, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of JOTC, Shadi Al-Majali, the General Manager of Al-Samra Electricity Power Company, Eng. Sufyan  Batayneh, and a number of others participated representatives of energy sector institutions shared  in implementing the initiative by planting forest tree seedlings.
