Al-Azzam Sponsors the Opening of a Specialized Workshop on Preparing and Managing MoUs, Agreements, and Contracts

December 21, 2025 – The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Engineer Amani Al-Azzam, sponsored this Sunday the opening of a specialized training workshop on "Preparing and Managing MoUs, Agreements, and Contracts," organized by the Ministry in cooperation with the Egyptian company Enppi, aiming to enhance institutional capacities and raise the efficiency of the Ministry's personnel working in this field.

The workshop was opened by the Director of the Petroleum and Oil Shale Directorate and Head of the Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility Committee, Bahjat Al-Adwan, who emphasized the importance of partnership between the Ministry and specialized global companies, pointing out that the course will contribute to enhancing employees' capabilities and raising the efficiency of employees in this field.

For her part, the Director General of Development and Training at Enppi, Dr. Manal Soliman, stated that the contracts management course holds particular importance, due to the multiple legal, financial, and operational matters required by petroleum projects, which necessitates a comprehensive understanding of contracting stages and the ability to manage risks, changes, and dispute settlements in accordance with best professional practices.

From his side, the Director General of the Company / Jordan Branch, Engineer Tamer Metwally, said that the company was established in 1978 and has trained over 60,000 trainees in the energy field.

This program aims to provide employees with the key concepts of contracts management, starting from contracting through to project management and execution, alongside developing the participants' cognitive skills to choose the most suitable contract model, control risks, and resolve disputes in professional ways that align with international practices.
